Dr.Lea PughVeterinarian & Practice Owner
Dr. Lea Pugh has worked for Miami County Vet Clinic for over 20 years. In 2017, she purchased MCVC and is now the sole owner. She was born in Peru and raised on a farm in northern Miami Co. She is a graduate of North Miami High School and Purdue University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Lea lives in Miami Co. with her husband Steve, their two daughters, Sadie and Ruth, and a menagerie of pets. She is actively involved with her church and serves on the County Health Board. In her free time, she reads, bikes and watches movies at the Roxy.
Stacie has worked at Miami County Vet Clinic since 2010. She was born and raised in Miami County and is a graduate from North Miami High School. She resides in Miami County with her husband, her daughter, 2 dogs, and a cat. When not working, Stacie enjoys spending time with her daughter, nephew & niece, scrapbooking, boating and camping with her 2 dogs and family.
Marni, RVTLead Veterinary Nurse & Inventory Manager
Marni has worked as a Registered Veterinary Nurse at our clinic since 2014. She graduated from Brown Mackie College in 2013. She is originally from Fort Wayne, but now calls Peru her home. Marni lives with her son, David and 4 four legged children, 2 dogs named Sadie and Pepper and two cats named Smoke and Colby. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, crafts, Peru High School sports and being involved with our local animal shelters.
Savanna has worked for our clinic since January 2017. She is a 2016 graduate from Harrison college in Indianapolis where she received her degree in Veterinary Technology. Savanna lives in Peru with her husband, Bailey, and their “children”, four dogs named Atlas, Bruno, Callie, and Maple, and two cats named Willow and Lola. Savanna and Bailey are expecting a new addition to their family in June 2019. In her free time Savanna enjoys spending time with her family and pets, reading, and doing at home crafts with Bailey and keeping up with the Indiana Pacers Basketball.
Erin joined our team in January 2019. She was raised in Peru and graduated from Maconaquah in 2013. Erin lives with her boyfriend, 2 very spoiled, three-legged dogs, Madeline Flo & Bubba Stump and one kitty, Kit Cat. She hopes to increase the number of household pets in the near future! Erin has been interested in the veterinary field and working with animals her whole life. She aspires to learn as much as she can and maybe one day become a veterinarian herself. She enjoys hanging out with her family, cooking with her boyfriend, singing, reading, and watching Hulu.
Olivia joined our team in October 2019. Olivia grew up in Cass Co. and graduated from Lewis Cass High School in 2014. In 2016 she was certified through a positive reinforcement dog training program. She is a part of a large military family and her husband has been in the USAF for about 10 years. She currently resides in Miami co. with her husband Jordan. Together they own 3 cats, 1 dog, and 2 fish tanks. Olivia loves working with animals and hopes to learn as much as she can. In the near future she would like to return to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and writing.
Ruth has been working at our clinic since August, 2015. Ruth is the mom to a son. They share their home with their dog, 5 cats, Jackson, Jynx, Tiffany, Cleopatra “Mama”, and Butterscotch “Baby”. She has an A.A.S. in human services. The skills she learned while getting her degree are used with the animals she works with. She truly enjoys working with all of the animals here at our clinic.
Burnie has been at Miami County Vet Clinic since 2004. His duties include keeping laps warm, acting as a towel weight, and taking naps.
Wilbur has been at Miami County Vet Clinic since 2014. His duties include keeping the dogs in line, making sure clinic staff is where they are needed, and an affection for dog leashes.
